Barcelona. <strong>2011-2012 PhD Extraordinary Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<div><a style=\"vertical-align: top;\" href=\"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-6749-9879\" target=\"orcid.widget\" rel=\"me noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 1em; margin-right: .5em;\" src=\"https:\/\/orcid.org\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/orcid_16x16.png\" alt=\"ORCID iD icon\" \/>https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-6749-9879<\/a><\/div>\n<p>After 20 years working in the Faculty of Fine Arts, of the University of Barcelona, he is currently professor at the Compluense University. Iglesias worked as webmaster and several individual projects for the MACBA Contemporary Art Museum Barcelona: <em>Antagonisms, Remote Connection<\/em> and <em>On Translation: The Web<\/em> (by the artist Muntadas).<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\">He has been invited to give lectures on Net.Art, robotics, art and new technologies in different Universities and Research Centers as CEDIM-Education Design Center (Monterrey, Mexico), European University (CEES), Carlos III University, Alicante University, <span class=\"\">Barcelona<\/span> <span class=\"\">University<\/span><span class=\"\">,<\/span> Cuenca University, Salamanca University and Valencia University, <span class=\"\">among others.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Iglesias\u2019 work focuses on three main concepts. The first one is <u>communication<\/u>, understood as a basic human activity through which individuals relate to one another and establish social relationships, and in relation to which it is necessary to consider again the dialogic notion as well as reconsider the role of the addressee. Communication is a process in which, quoting Kapl\u00fan (1998), \u201ctwo or more human beings or communities exchange and share experiences, knowledge and feelings, even if this is done remotely and through artificial means.\u201d And the second one is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">interaction<\/span>, considering that the relationship between humans and machines, so far based on the usage, care and management of machines\u2019 actions \u2014that is to say, based on the mere handling of machines\u2014, should develop in order to be based on a mutual and internal interaction.
