Concept<\/em>
\nIn the media nowadays, \u201cviolence\u201d is such a commonly used concept and images of violent events so ubiquitous that we are rarely surprised by what we see. Violence is an intrinsic part of our lives and there seems to be no way to counteract it\u2014it is a fact of nature and a law of life, and the weak must suffer at the hands of the powerful for \u201cevolution\u201d to take place.<\/p>\n

Violence against women is a social disease and we must resort to all possible means in order to eradicate Thanks to the research and statistics compiled by Amnesty International in Espa\u00f1a: M\u00e1s all\u00e1 del papel<\/em> (2005) and Est\u00e1 en nuestras manos. No m\u00e1s violencia contra mujeres<\/em> (2004), we have explored an often frightening reality.<\/p>\n

Project<\/em>
\nThe installation consists of a video of stills depicting female body parts in macro format\/close. Various brief accounts of specific cases of domestic violence, data, numbers, and other information on the topic can be heard, emitted by various kinds of sound equipment with loudspeakers on the wall.<\/p>\n
