Science and Art: utopias and metaverses (2019)

“Almost any utopia supposes an implicit criticism of the civilization that serves as a background; and likewise, it constitutes an attempt to discover the potentialities that the existing institutions either ignore or bury under an old crust of customs and habits ”(Mumford, 2013).

Starting from this concept of the theorist Lewis Mumford, the conference reflects on and reviews how from the fields of artistic, literary, playful and thought creation possible imaginary of just and egalitarian societies-spaces-metaverses have always been promoted.
