Concept
“Every time someone interacts with another person, there is the potential to exchange information about people they both know. The structure of everyone´s links to everyone else is a network that acts as a channel through which news jobs tips, possible romantic partners, ans contagious diseases travel…” Smart Mobs: The Next Social Revolution. The piece poses a critique of online social networks, the role of technologies in our communications and the existence of thousands of virtual “friends”.

The possibilities of communication and exchange of information have grown exponentially with the appearance of online “socialization” platforms, but it is often forgotten that these networks, in order to be truly operative, must finally function in a face-to-face manner, and not just be numbers analysed in phantom counters.

The idea focuses on the “recovery” of personalized communication systems in the real world. The classic way of introducing ourselves, of making a contact, translates into an exchange of greetings, a handshake and a business card.

Project
The proposal is formalized in a large panel of variable dimensions, where the artist collectivizes, makes available, transfers all his visitor cards. The piece seeks the direct involvement of the people who pass in front, the cards are available to anyone, in an exchange format Take one / Leave one.
