Us and Others
For us and others (2023)
Concept
Since 2007, and witnessing the explosion of smartphones and selfies as a new form of personal-visual communication, I have created different series of photographs under the concept: I photograph people who photograph Art. They have been taken in different spaces such as Documenta, the Venice Biennale, MOMA, etc. and in different years. They do not have a single format or size.
Now from the exhibition Between us and the others: Together Apart from the IV BIENALSUR, presented at Casa de América (Madrid), a new collection of images has been made that can be seen at: https://www.flickr.com
At the same time, as an exhibition format, sets of photos could be presented in non-uniform grids. Each unit could be played a maximum of 10 times in any combination.
