Interuniversity research group of Barcelona University and Vic University, specialized in education, media and social sphere.

In 1988, Professor Antonio Bartolomé presented a research project to the C.I.D.E. in which a study was proposed on the introduction of interactive resources in relation to cognitive styles and other individual and social aspects.

This project was the conceptual basis for the development of the LMI interuniversity research group, initially as Laboratori de Mitjans Interactius. In 2014, the LMI was recognized by the Generalitat of Catalonia as an interuniversity research group, with the identifier 2014 SGR 604. In 2017 it changed its name to Learning, Media & Social Interactions, with the identifier: 2017 SGR 379.
