Seminar focused on the study of the concepts of utopia and dystopia in their aesthetic, literary, film, architectural and social imaginaries.
Unit 1.
Presentation of the seminar, objectives and operation. General introduction to the concepts of utopia. Characteristics, development and historical importance in the construction of just and egalitarian societies. Presentation of case studies I: art and utopia. Initial approaches of the students for the preparation of their own “utopian object”.
