In the Dark. Información, control y manipulación

We have always been interested in carrying out research projects where technology and society meet: either in the form of confrontation or in the form of collaboration. This approach has allowed us to work with different action devices reaction (such as robots, sensors …) and registration (cameras, video, etc).
In the project In the dark. Information, control and manipulation We propose that the current use of automatic means to obtain information in the present registration and control process does not mean the absence of a subjective intention on the part of the system and therefore, of its manipulation. Mechanical surveillance devices, whether at the local level – street video cameras – or at the planetary level – unmanned aircraft with synthetic aperture cameras or spy satellites – induce us to separate the controlling machine from the controller, placing the latter in comfortable darkness from where it can better exercise its function.
