Santiago Surveillance (2017)
Tour through the streets of Santiago de Chile, in search of public surveillance spaces where cameras are placed as control elements in the parameters of social and citizen security.
Project carried out within the Experimental Cartography workshop of the artist Karla Brunet. The objective of the workshop is to approach in a practical and theoretical way the relationship of territory, space, place and its representation. The artistic, social, emotional and political implications of the maps will be discussed. The concepts of experimental geography, radical mapping, emotional mapping, and artistic mapping will guide the discussions that will result in a collective map.
Project
The production consists of a series of photographs taken in Santiago de Chile city and later positioned on an interactive map, in conjunction with other tours of the participants.
