“The work of the artist Ricardo Iglesias, of a technological nature, is located at the intersection between the physical and the digital, evidencing how the different materialities are connected and transit spaces of exchange and agency. The development of the interview with the artist serves to understand how the conceptual aspects are connected with the materiality of his work, specifically in two examples of robotic pieces.
The dialogical methodology of the semi-structured interview is configured as a fundamental strategy to obtain essential information about the artistic processes of production and conceptualization, as well as others related to the deterioration, obsolescence or reinstallation of works created with new media. This article documents some key aspects of the work of Ricardo Iglesias while offering some reflections on the need to update the epistemology in the conservation of experimental and technological artistic practices.” (pp. 121)
